The Cardinal

Cardinals are monogamous birds whose relationships with their spouses are harmonious, romantic and musical. The male and female sing duets, calling similar songs to each other. The Cardinal is also a territorial bird and is aggressively defensive.

The Cardinal is a symbol of spiritual connection and the higher self. Because they represent souls freed from the earth their messages apply to the higher intellectual and spiritual aspects of relationships rather than the practical grounded aspects.

Love

Love is an ethereal concept in many ways and in the greater picture, whether you are a romantic or not, the vibration of love is at a higher frequency which is why we use words like “harmonious” to talk about the relationship between two people. The Cardinal’s love is confident, protective, harmonious, monogamous and lively and is telling you to express your love with passion and vigor.

Harmony

Harmony is referring to the song of our unified vibrations. Monogamy is the ultimate expression of the two vibrating in harmony. When there has been a betrayal or a break in monogamy the song is interrupted by the vibration of another. The Cardinal understands this instinctually and will defend this harmony with vigorous ferocity.
