You are not a mess, you are vulnerable

“You are not a mess
You are brave for trying”
Vulnerability is noble, but it’s not easy. The war-torn path behind me indicates I have made many messes and many mistakes, but is that such a bad thing? Or do the courageous and brave get confused with the meek?

When You Are Old

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

Samhain

John O’ Donahue’s book Anam Cara was my first introduction to Celtic Wisdom and since that time, over a decade, now I have encountered and explored many other wisdom traditions, now including, the Yoga Sutra and the spiritual teachings of yoga. While I appreciate and am grateful for a comprehensive viewpoint, I consider the Druidic and Celtic perspective to be my home base. In that light I would like to share with you Samhain; Etymology, Philosophy, Traditions, as well as a Special Samhain inspired Yoga Sequence, Shaman Music Ritual, Guided Meditation, and Samhain ASMR.
