V&E Animal Omens: What it Means When You Find A Dead Bird

Dead Bird Omens are not as ominous as we might expect. Paradoxically, the death of a bird represents new beginnings. Spiritually death is not an end but a transition.
In that light, finding a dead bird might actually be a good omen. If you encounter one on your path or even if you accidentally hit one with your car (don’t do it on purpose!) it means you are about to experience a metaphysical death or change and the end of struggle or pain…

Fierce Lady Friends: Introduction to the Seven Lessons

Something has changed, I think it is me. I no longer look back and see only my mistakes, now I can see all of the people I am grateful for. I see the lessons I have learned and appreciate the experiences I have had.
Part of that is owed to the people I have met, the women who have guided me with their intelligence, their strength, and their wisdom.

In that light I would like to dedicate this series of posts Fierce Lady Friends: The Seven Lessons for the women in my life, my tribe,  and to the women out there who are living, supporting and teaching one another. In the coming weeks, I will be posting the Seven Lessons from my own perspective and experience and sharing a bit about the women in my life who were my teachers in the formative time in my life that is now coming to a close.  The Lessons are:
Acceptance, Boundaries, Compassion, Courage, Unconditional Love, Trust, and Sisterhood.

Demystifying Wellness: Thinking Vs. Feeling

Is thinking opposed to feeling or do they work together? How can we use our feelings to generate wellness? We look at feeling in the body, emotional mind and spirit to see how each aspect utilizes feeling to create impressions that help us in the development of holistic wellness. In order to truly practice holistic wellness a shift has to occur where we take what we have learned from our thinking selves, and through the active application, demonstrate or teach our feeling selves.

V&E Animal Omens: Cardinal

A cardinal visited me this morning outside my window & since I usually don’t catch moments like these I wondered what omens exist for Cardinals. In Alchemy, birds are symbolic for the purified soul freed from earthly constraints.
An encounter with the Cardinal it is an omen for all things love: self-love, harmony, confidence, romance, passionate relationships, power dynamics, and monogamy.
