Not knowing when the Dawn will come

Can you unpack this riddle?

Not knowing when the Dawn will come,
I open every Door,
Or has it Feathers, like a Bird,
Or Billows, like a Shore —

  1. It reminds me of not waiting for my soulmate to find me, and opened the door whenever someone knocked, which is not so bad, except that I let them in and let them stay too long.

      1. Thanks. I occasionally come up with these poetic ideas when commenting on other people’s blogs more so than in my own posts. Maybe it comes from over thinking my own posts. Who knows. Maybe I’ll turn it into a post.
