Can you unpack this riddle?
Not knowing when the Dawn will come,
I open every Door,
Or has it Feathers, like a Bird,
Or Billows, like a Shore —Emily Dickinson
Riddles help to expand our minds and to question the way we use language to convey meaning.
What is the meaning of this poem?
It reminds me of not waiting for my soulmate to find me, and opened the door whenever someone knocked, which is not so bad, except that I let them in and let them stay too long.

Wow, that is an amazing and poetic answer! I will think of your comment every time someone ‘knocks on my door’!

Thanks. I occasionally come up with these poetic ideas when commenting on other people’s blogs more so than in my own posts. Maybe it comes from over thinking my own posts. Who knows. Maybe I’ll turn it into a post.

Overthinking is my enemy as well. I would love to see that post 🙂
